A series of senior appointments will strengthen collaboration across H&H’s businesses, bringing sales and operations closer together as the business continues its strategic evolution.
H&H Group Plc has announced three key appointments. Robin Anderson has been promoted to the role of Chief Commercial Officer, Grant Anderson has been appointed Head of Livestock Sales, while Laura Millar moves into the role of Director and Head of Operations (Farmstock).
This new leadership structure will support H&H’s ambition to operate as a more integrated business, enhancing collaboration across its livestock, property and insurance divisions while strengthening customer service and commercial performance.
H&H Chief Executive, Richard Rankin said the appointments mark a significant step in the ongoing evolution of the business, “These are hugely important appointments for H&H as we strategically move towards operating as single business, bringing together Harrison & Hetherington, H&H Land & Estates, and H&H Insurance under the H&H brand.”
Promoted from the role of Managing Director of Harrison & Hetherington, Robin Anderson has built an unrivalled reputation for his leadership, commercial expertise, and deep understanding of the agricultural sector. Having spent more than four decades in the industry, he is well placed to help strengthen connections across the business and support its continued growth and success.
Commenting Richard said, “In his new role, Robin will coordinate and lead sales activity across the entire business, providing clear direction across all customer-facing areas, including oversight of the Heads of Sales across the company’s various income streams. His appointment will help ensure a more joined-up approach to how we engage with customers, identify opportunities, and deliver value across the business.”

Grant Anderson and Laura Millar will play key roles in delivering a more joined-up approach across our seven operating centres, says Richard Rankin, combining strong commercial leadership with operational excellence.
“Grant Anderson is one of the industry’s most respected auctioneers and his experience and knowledge of the business and livestock trading sector ideally place him to lead our livestock sales operation. Our dairy sector sales will continue to be led by Glyn Lucas whilst the machinery sales division remains under the supervision of David Holliday.”
Speaking about Laura Millar’s appointment, Richard added, “Laura is absolutely the right person to take on this hugely important role. She brings a tremendous understanding of H&H, strong operational leadership skills, and a real commitment to driving progress across the organisation. Working as part of the newly created Operations Team, led by Chief Operating Officer Mark Johnson, Laura’s focus will be initially on Farmstock.”
Grant Anderson joined H&H straight from school. After almost two decades with the company, he has become a familiar face across H&H’s seven livestock trading centres. In his new role, Grant will provide strategic leadership across H&H Farmstock’s livestock sales operations, helping drive innovation and commercial performance, strengthen customer relationships and shape the future direction of sales across both physical marts and online platforms.
Grant said, “This is an exciting new stage in my career, and as we continue building for the future, I’m looking forward to working closely with the sales team across all of our livestock trading centres. The live auction ring remains at the heart of everything we do and that commitment to live sales will always remain central to the business. But there are huge opportunities to continue developing our online platforms and supporting customers through a range of routes to market.”
In her newly created role as Director and Head of Operations (Farmstock), Laura Millar will take a key role within the operational leadership team at H&H while continuing to focus on driving operational effectiveness within Farmstock.
“This is a fantastic opportunity and a natural next step for me professionally. H&H is a business with a huge amount of history and reputation, but also one that is continuing to innovate and move forward. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with teams across the business, building on the experience I’ve gained and supporting the ongoing development of operations across the organisation.”
