Another excellent night at the Cumbria Farmer Awards, now in its fourth season!
The winners of the Livestock Farmer of the Year category, sponsored by H&H Group, were Will and Gill Sedgley.

Farming 1,350 acres near Kirkby Lonsdale and proactive members of the Hawes branch of the North of England Mule Sheep Association, they are one of the leading Mule breeding enterprises in the North. Setting their own high standards of quality in their breeding, this young couple are highly respected experts and deserved winners of this award.
Based at Low Bank House, near Barbon since 2013, alongside their Mules, Will and his wife and their four children run flocks of pure Swaledales, pure Bluefaced Leicesters, Nemsa Mule Ewes and Texel X Mule crosses put to Texel and Beltex rams. All finished lambs are sold deadweight on a Tesco contract and the partnerships also includes a 60-head sucker herd, breeding show potential calves.
