The North West’s leading land and property agency H&H Land & Estates strengthens its team with the return of Mark Barrow as Director in the South Lakes
As it expands its operations and moves to new offices, H&H Land & Estates are delighted to announce that highly regarded Chartered Surveyor & valuer Mark Barrow will join the company in the role of Director for the company’s South Lakes business.
Mark is returning to H&H Land & Estates, the North West’s leading independent property and land agency where he began his career, after three years external growth and market experience as a partner with a rival land and estate agency firm. He brings with him a formidable portfolio of professional qualifications and almost 15 years of experience in all facets of land and estate management, valuation, rural land and property sales.
Born and brought up on his family’s farm near Appleby in the Eden Valley, where his family still farm dairy and sheep, Mark has a lifetime’s experience and knowledge of Cumbria and North Lancashire’s rural sectors from both a professional and hands on perspective.
A Trustee of the Eden Rivers Trust, Mark graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with an Honours Degree in Environment and Land Management. He went on to achieve a Postgraduate Distinction in Surveying from the College of Estate Management and was awarded the Alistair Turnbull prize for the highest marks in the Northumbria and Cumbria branch of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) fellowship exams.
This is a key strategic appointment in the company’s ongoing expansion and development, says H&H Land & Estates Managing Director, Mark Johnson. “It is a great pleasure to welcome Mark back as Director for our South Lakes Area. He will lead our South Lakes team from our new offices in Staveley nr Kendal, and his comprehensive understanding of rural matters, property and land services will play a pivotal role in driving growth not just within the South Lakes Area, but across the entire company.
“We are committed to recruiting the very best of professional and personal talent, and Mark’s track record, enthusiasm and wealth of experience make him an invaluable asset to the company and our clients. His previous tenure with us left a lasting impression of his enthusiasm, his insights and innovative ideas, and his combination of leadership qualities and initiative together with a passion for mentorship and cultivating talent will add immense value to the strength and depth of our team.”
Working with a highly qualified and professional team, in his new role Mark will be responsible for advising clients on a broad range of rural issues. He will also build on the company’s strong foundations to further develop the business and services offered by H&H Land & Estates.
“I am absolutely delighted to be part of the H&H Land & Estates team again,” says Mark. “The company has always been at the forefront in meeting the changing needs of clients’ interests in property and farming, and it’s a privilege to be a part of the next chapter in its evolution at such a challenging time for the region’s agricultural sector. I am very much looking forward to working with the South Lakes team and helping clients new and old to navigate their way successfully into an environmentally focussed and profitable future.”
