Chris Gill Joins H&H Land & Estates Environment Team
One of the leading land agencies in the North of England, H&H Land & Estates, is delighted to confirm the appointment of Chris Gill as Farm Business and Environment Advisor. Based in the company’s Durham Office, in this specialist role Chris will become a core member of the company’s newly created Environment Team.
Chris joins H&H Land & Estates from Savills, bringing with him a wide range of experience in Farm Business Management alongside a lifetime of hands-on farming knowledge acquired on the family farm near Richmond, North Yorkshire. With a degree in Agriculture with Farm Business Management including a Dissertation on Farming Attitudes to Diversification, Chris is perfectly qualified to support farming and landowning clients with a full range of farm business consultancy, including farm business planning, estate and farm reviews and appraisals, budgeting, farm assurance, and grant applications.
The new Farm Business and Environment Advisor is also a perfect fit with the H&H Land & Estates ethos and the changing needs of the sector, says Director Tim Sedgewick. “The demands of the huge number of farming and landowning clients we now serve across the North of England varies enormously, but everyone we work with is facing the same fundamental challenges, which is to adapt to Britain’s increasingly environment-focused agricultural future.

Born and educated in North Yorkshire, from the age of 13 Chris worked, whenever schooling allowed, on his parents’ farm near Richmond and on neighbouring farms, experiencing every aspect of arable, livestock and dairy farming, and taking a growing role in the running of the family business.
In his role as a Food & Farming Graduate, Chris, has undertaken a wide range of Farm Business Management work for clients including budgeting, farm assurance, annual BPS/HLS/CS claims, CFA agreements and stocktake valuations.
In taking up his position with H&H Land and Estates, Chris said, “I am delighted to be joining the team of such a progressive and highly respected business.
