Harrison & Hetherington , organisers of one of the UK’s largest livestock events, Borderway Agri Expo, has announced that this year it will take place on Friday 28th October.
To be held at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, and attracting visitors from across the UK, Borderway Agri Expo is an important event for all sectors of the beef and sheep industries. Not only is it a sought-after showcase for some of the UK’s finest quality beef cattle and sheep, it is also an event dedicated to the latest industry products, practices and innovations.
The 2022 Borderway Agri Expo will be the 16th, and this year, to further highlight the global reputation the event has earned, it will be live streamed to audiences across the world.
Renowned as being a true celebration of the very best of British livestock, Borderway Agri Expo regularly attracts in the region of 10,000 visitors, who come through the door to admire the dozens of commercial cattle and sheep classes, and individual breed society shows. Visitors are also keen to meet with their suppliers to gather information to help support and streamline their own businesses. A new addition last year was a series of seminars hosted by H&H Land & Estates which proved extremely popular and will be another attraction of this year’s show.
On announcing the date, Scott Donaldson, Managing Director at Harrison & Hetherington commented: “Borderway Agri Expo is a wonderful way for the industry to get together and network. It is always useful to talk with people who are facing the same challenges and opportunities, and to learn from each other. Last year we had both Neil Shand, the Chief Executive of the National Beef Association and Phil Stocker, Chief Executive of the National Sheep Association speaking, who gave great insights into UK consumption trends and how they see the future of livestock trading shaping up.
“It is so fulfilling to see our event go from strength to strength and to get such positive feedback from exhibitors, sponsors and visitors. I urge everyone involved in livestock farming, on whatever scale, to come along and experience Borderway Agri Expo for themselves.”
Details of individual breed society shows, demonstrations, trade events and seminar speakers are still to be finalised, but will be confirmed in due course. Further details will be updated regularly on the event’s dedicated web site: www.borderwayagriexpo.uk
