Leading North of England Rural Property Advisors expand the team
H&H Land & Estates, one of the North’s leading independent rural property advisory firms, has welcomed Janet Flintoft, an experienced Chartered Surveyor, to its specialist team. Based in the Carlisle office, Janet will work with clients on the growing need for advice on property related matters, including land and property development, and environmental schemes support, across the Cumbrian region.
The next five years will see some key changes for farmers and landowners within the region, and Janet is looking forward to working in her new position to assist clients through the changing business landscape and identify new opportunities for the region’s rural businesses.
Coming from a family farm in Yorkshire, Janet graduated from Harper Adams University in 2010 with a BSc in Rural Enterprise and Land Management, before moving to Cumbria and taking a position as a Chartered Surveyor with PFK. She has since gained a broad knowledge and understanding of the challenges of the agricultural sector in the Northwest, and offers a valuable insight into the direction options for businesses going forward.
Commenting on Janet’s new appointment, Thomas Armstrong, Director and Chartered Surveyor with H&H Land & Estates said:
“H&H Land & Estates are delighted that Janet has joined the team, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience across the board, which will prove invaluable in these changing times. Janet is keen to bring her skills from her previous employment to H&H Land & Estates to support and engage with clients. With over 10-years’ experience, Janet has a specialist role in valuation, estate management, property sales and landlord and tenants matters.”
Having taken a strong interest in development opportunities in her previous role, Janet is excited to work with businesses to explore the potential of new planning possibilities. Janet commented:
“The last 18 months have transformed the business environment and provided new opportunities for farm and rural businesses. I really look forward to exploring how we can develop the region’s farms, from new housing, commercial space, or the inclusion of new environment schemes to enhance the already spectacular scenery we enjoy. It’s an exciting time to be joining such a respected and established team of professionals at H&H Land & Estates.”
