H&H Land & Estates announces appointment of Kate Patrick as Head of Estate Agency, in newly created role.
In a strategic move for the company moving into the new year, H&H Land & Estates has announced today the appointment of Kate Patrick as Head of Estate Agency. Kate will start 2021 by stepping into this newly created role, indicating that the company plans to further develop and grow its business across Cumbria, the North of England and Scottish Borders. In this key role with one of the North’s largest independent rural property advisory firms, Kate will drive business presence and performance, and assist in supporting the direction of estate agency.
With 15 years’ experience in the property industry, Kate will use her knowledge as Head of Estate Agency to guide and support multiple offices across the region, from Carlisle to Keswick, and Kendal to Durham. Born and raised in Carlisle, during her career, Kate has built up a solid understanding and cultivated a highly specialised knowledge of the property sector.
Latterly, she has adopted a coaching and training approach in her working style, which has proved an effective means of helping further her teams’ abilities to achieve success and exceed targets. Speaking about her new role, Kate said: “H&H Land & Estates is a highly respected brand, and in my new role I want to work with our existing teams across our estate agencies to broaden our reach. To continue to achieve success, we must understand the markets and the changing needs of these markets, and also respond to the buyers of the next generation. So, I will be building on our very strong foundations to ensure we can meet the demand of these rapidly changing times, from both a customer focused and digital perspective.”
This new management role for H&H Land & Estates indicates the company’s growing market presence. Buyers are now after homes in the countryside, with both green space and working from home potential. Therefore, the new Head of Estate Agency will need to be effective in managing and maximising business leads, in order to further expand coverage and presence in a very active rural market.
Since COVID-19, digital capacity has been crucial to running a successful business. Aiming to capitalise on the progress made by H&H Land & Estate so far, Kate intends to further pivot the company towards a digitally-minded world, future-proofing the business for decades to come. She said: “Digitalisation is the future, and COVID has brought this to the forefront. We will continue to focus on the digital side of our services, from viewings, to sales and beyond. However, I do want to begin to safely integrate face-to-face interactions where possible because, as a business, we know those one-to-one connections are still very important for building relationships.”
Colin Tomlinson, Managing Director, responded to Kate’s appointment: “We are absolutely delighted that Kate has decided to take up this challenge to work with us, and expand the scope of the Estate Agency side of the business. We created this new role at a time where H&H Land & Estates has been growing its market share, and her appointment is integral to our future growth.
“Kate is a highly experienced property professional, with the right skills, vision, and experience to take up this key role. I have every confidence she will be effective in working with our existing teams, driving our growth strategy forward for years to come.”
Kate concluded by saying: “I am thrilled to have been offered this position, and am very much looking forward to getting to know the team. I am certain that, as Head of Estate Agency, I will be able to contribute to the energy and results that H&H are known for, and meet the challenges of a constantly shifting property landscape.” Kate can be contacted via t: 01228 810799
