H+H helps rural customers make important decisions about their land, property, businesses and future. We are looking for a Commercial Marketing Executive to connect our Land + Property, Environment and Consulting teams with the shared marketing function.
This is an opportunity to help turn professional expertise into clear, relevant marketing that builds trust, generates enquiries and supports new instructions. You will help customers see how H+H’s different disciplines connect around the decisions they need to make.
You will help build a shared marketing function that connects specialist capability with commercial priorities, strengthening customer relationships and supporting growth across H+H.
This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position, which may be extended, offering the opportunity to play an important role in H+H’s evolving marketing function during a significant period of change.
The role
You will be the dedicated day-to-day marketing partner for agents, surveyors, valuers, environmental specialists and consultants across this portfolio.
You will understand their priorities, gather client insight and coordinate briefs for campaigns, property marketing, expert content and events. You will work with specialists to explain customer benefits accurately and with functional Marketing Managers to turn those requirements into effective activity.
The role combines commercial liaison, proposition support and delivery coordination. It offers the opportunity to learn about a varied professional services portfolio while contributing to a more connected One H+H customer experience.
Key responsibilities
Maintain the portfolio marketing calendar, including property instructions, advisory campaigns, service launches and confirmed environmental deadlines.
Build relationships with professional colleagues and understand priority audiences, growth objectives and service capacity.
Gather client questions and market insight around property, asset decisions, rural business planning and environmental opportunities.
Prepare customer-focused briefs for approved propositions, including valuations, land development, environmental funding and natural capital.
Coordinate property marketing requirements, approved particulars, photography and enquiry routes.
Gather expert input and case studies for thought leadership, explainers, seminars and targeted campaigns.
Support advisers with relevant credentials, service summaries and presentation requirements.
Identify connected client journeys and track qualified enquiries, adviser appointments, instructions and cross-service referrals.
Work closely with both functional Marketing Managers, the Content Creator / Designer and the other Commercial Marketing Executives to connect customer insight, expert content and campaigns across portfolios.
Identify cross-selling opportunities around client needs, linking land, property, environmental and consulting services with relevant expertise across H+H and agreeing introduction and follow-up arrangements.
Keep portfolio social media platforms current and publish approved content within H+H’s agreed channel strategy.
Work with professional colleagues and the functional Marketing Managers to plan relevant content including property instructions, adviser insight, customer case studies, environmental opportunities, thought leadership and specialist events.
Coordinate expert input and assets with marketing colleagues; monitor responses and improve activity.
About you
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded marketing professional who enjoys building relationships, understanding complex customer needs and turning specialist expertise into relevant and effective marketing. You will be comfortable working with expert advisers and confident asking questions that bring the conversation back to client needs and commercial opportunities.

Qualifications
A marketing, communications or related qualification would be beneficial; relevant practical experience is equally valuable. Experience of property, professional services, rural business or environmental marketing would be an advantage.

This is a fixed-term maternity cover position for up to 12 months. The contract will continue until the substantive postholder returns from maternity leave and may therefore end earlier or later than anticipated.
We offer the usual benefits you’d expect from a well-established, forward-thinking employer and which will be commensurate with a fixed term appointment, this will include a competitive salary and 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a birthday holiday.
Location and travel
This is primarily an office-based role at H+H’s Carlisle head office, with some flexibility in working arrangements by agreement. Travel to all 13 H+H locations across northern England and southern Scotland is expected, including attendance at some agricultural shows.
