Cafe Assistant

H&H Group plc is a group of companies based in Carlisle. We operate in Auctioneering, Property, and Insurance.

We are looking for a Cafe Assistant to join our busy catering team. The café is based in the auction mart, Borderway Rosehill, Carlisle and serves both H&H Group employees and customers.

The role will include:

• Taking orders and serving food and drinks to customers as required.
• Collecting payments from customers.
• Ensuring all café and kitchen areas are clean, tidy and well maintained.
• Replenish service areas with condiments, napkins, products etc. as required.
• When required, assist with the preparation and cooking of hot and cold meals, in accordance with pre-set menus.

The successful applicant will:

• Have good communication skills

• Be flexible and self-motivated
• Be able to work quickly under pressure whilst remaining calm and polite in all circumstances
• Have an understanding of health and safety regulations relating to a catering establishment

The role is offered on a zero-hours basis and there would be some evening and/ or weekend work to be included.

A competitive rate of pay will be made available to the successful candidate.
