Environment & Conservation Assistant - Cumbria

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environment & Conservation Assistant to join our expanding team in the North Lakes. The role is primarily based in Carlisle but may involve travel throughout Cumbria and the North East.

We are looking for a well organised individual with excellent time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as being confident in undertaking work alone.

The role includes but is not limited to the following:

• providing a professional service to clients on all environmental and conservation related matters.
• assisting with the administration of environmental agreements on common land, including submitting claims for payment and the distribution of monies received on behalf of Commons Associations
• assisting with the submission of Commons and SFI Moorland applications on behalf of clients.
• providing the first line of contact for H&H Land & Estates environmental team by answering telephone calls and receiving visitors to the premises, ensuring a high-level of client care is maintained from first contact through to contact with professional staff.
• improving the public perception of the company at all times and by representation at events as required.
• undertaking confidential client related administrative duties as required.
• acting as an assistant within the H&H Land & Estates team providing assistance as required on any rural land related matters.

You should be positive and flexible in your approach to work, be computer literate and familiar with all Microsoft applications and have good communication skills.

It would be an advantage if you had experience or knowledge of the agricultural or rural sector.
