Richard Rankin

Richard Rankin joined the H&H Group as Chief Executive in July 2018, taking over from Brian Richardson who had held the CE position for 10 years.

Originally from the North East and born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Richard started his career with Touche Ross (which later became Deloitte) in Newcastle as a Trainee Accountant, transferring to Corporate Finance in 1997 where he worked on a number of deals advising businesses.  In 2002 Richard joined Armstrong Watson, initially as part of the Carlisle Corporate Finance team and was made partner in 2006 when he took over the Kendal office for AW.  In 2014 he returned to run the Carlisle Corporate office in addition to the wider Corporate Finance team for AW.

Richard is also a Director of Cumbria Tourism and a past Governor of Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Penrith.  He lives with his partner at Ainstable.
